Built Around You
Custom Homes Built for Iconic Living in Brisbane
You’ve probably walked through enough display homes to know how it goes. The finishes look nice, but the floor plan never quite works for your family. The bedrooms are in the wrong spot, the kitchen is too far from the outdoor area or there’s nowhere for the dog. A custom built home fixes all of that, because the layout is drawn for the way you live.
We design and build custom homes across Cleveland, the Redlands, the Bayside and greater Brisbane. Every build starts with your block and your brief rather than a template. We work through the layout, finishes and budget with you. Then we build the home properly, with one team and one point of contact from the first plans to handover.
Custom Home Builds on Narrow and Sloping Blocks and Knock Down Rebuilds
- Narrow block builder: custom homes designed for tight frontages and awkward block dimensions
- Knock down rebuild: a new custom built home on land you already own
- Sloping block builder: a custom home designed to use the slope of your block
Luxury Custom Homes for Brisbane, the Redlands and Bayside
If you’re building a custom home, you’ve probably already decided you want a house designed for you rather than picked from a range. You might already own the block, or be about to buy one. Either way, you want the home to suit the site and the street. That’s the kind of home we build, with the detailing and finishes a high-end home needs.
Waterfront Custom Homes in Raby Bay and Cleveland
We’ve built a waterfront home on the canal in Raby Bay. The photos further down this page show that home. You can see the pool, the outdoor living area and a living room that looks out over the canal.

Knock Down Rebuild Custom Homes in Bulimba and Coorparoo
If you love your street but the house no longer works for you, a knock down rebuild lets you keep the address and start again. In Bulimba, large parts of the suburb sit under Brisbane City Council’s traditional building character overlay. That affects whether the existing house can come down, and a new house has to fit the character of the street. We check what applies to your address early in the design. We also build custom homes in nearby Coorparoo, Hawthorne and Morningside, and our knock down rebuild page explains how the process works.
Custom Built Homes on Sloping and Narrow Blocks
A standard plan rarely fits a steep site or a tight frontage. That’s why sloping and narrow blocks are where custom home builders make the biggest difference. On a sloping block, the design can use the fall of the land for split levels or a lower level underneath. On a narrow block, the design has to bring light and space into the middle of the house. Our sloping block builder and narrow block builder pages go into more detail.

Can You See Custom Homes They Have Finished?
Ask to see custom homes the builder has actually finished, as well as the renders. Our projects page shows the custom home builds we’ve finished in Raby Bay, Thornlands, Cleveland and Gaythorne. It has photos of the outside, the living areas and the finishes.
Who Will You Deal With During the Build?
It’s worth asking home builders who you’ll actually deal with once the contract is signed. In our Google reviews further down this page, clients talk about dealing with Steve Fischer and Brent Upston, the builders behind Iconic. They describe Steve and Brent being there from the first meeting right through to handover.
