Love the Street? Knock Down the House and Start Fresh

Sometimes renovating just doesn’t make sense. The layout is wrong, the stumps are shot, and by the time you’ve fixed everything, you’ve spent more than a new build would have cost. A knock-down rebuild gives you a brand new home on the block you already own — in the suburb you don’t want to leave.

We manage the full process from demolition to handover. One team, one contract, no gaps between trades. We handle the demo, the design, the council approvals, and the build.

Our Commitment

Why Choose to Knock Down And Rebuild with Iconic

You’ve already got the block. You know the street, the neighbours, the school run, and the weekend routine. The only problem is the house itself — it’s outdated, it doesn’t suit the way your family lives now, or it’s costing more to maintain than it’s worth.

That’s exactly where a knock-down rebuild makes sense. Instead of pouring money into renovations that work around old problems — dodgy stumps, outdated wiring, poor layout, asbestos — you start fresh with a brand-new home designed for the block you already own.

Here’s why people choose Iconic for the job:

  • We Manage the Entire Process From demolition through to handover, you deal with one team. We coordinate the demo, disconnections, council approvals, engineering, and the full build. You don’t need to line up separate contractors or manage timelines yourself. One point of contact, start to finish.
  • We Know What’s Under the Old House Older homes across the Redlands often sit on reactive clay, outdated drainage, or stumps that have shifted over decades. We’ve pulled apart enough old houses in Cleveland, Ormiston, Wellington Point, and beyond to know what to expect before the demolition starts — and how to plan for it properly.
  • We Work With Redland City Council Regularly Knock-down rebuilds can trigger different approval pathways depending on your block’s overlays, zoning, and whether the existing home has any heritage or character considerations. We understand the Redland City Council planning scheme and put together applications that move through approvals without unnecessary delays.
  • We Design for Your Block — Not a Display Village Every block is different. Orientation, slope, setbacks, neighbour privacy, breeze paths, and street frontage all matter. We don’t drop a generic plan onto your site and hope for the best.
  • We’re Upfront About Costs A knock-down rebuild has costs that a standard new build doesn’t — demolition, disconnection of services, potential asbestos removal, and reconnection. We lay all of this out early so there are no surprises halfway through.
  • We’re Local and Accountable We’re based in Cleveland. We’re not a franchise or a volume builder with a head office interstate. When you call, you get the person managing your build. When something needs sorting on site, we’re 10 minutes away.
