Client Brief

The client engaged Iconic Homes & Construction to knock down an existing house and design two Hamptons-style townhouses, each with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The site presented a challenge, with only a 10-metre frontage available for both homes.

To make full use of the block, the garages were built to the boundary, allowing the maximum possible internal width.

Careful planning and a detailed build methodology were essential to manage construction efficiently and achieve the design within the constraints of the narrow block.

Site

  • 405 square metre block with an existing home that sloped to the rear
  • Old house was demolished to clear the site
  • The block was filled to create a level building platform suitable for two townhouses

Features

  • Four bedrooms in each townhouse, all with built-in wardrobes
  • Three bathrooms in each dwelling, featuring full-height tiles, tiled feature walls, and black tapware
  • 2.7 metre high ceilings throughout to enhance space and light
  • Hamptons-style kitchens with 40mm stone benchtops and Smeg appliances
  • Matching custom cabinetry in kitchens and laundries
  • Hardwood staircases with glass balustrades
  • Garages finished with epoxy flooring
  • Landscaped outdoor areas with fencing and exposed aggregate driveways
